Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by VerbMint ("VerbMint," "we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to or using any VerbMint service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

VerbMint offers done-for-you AI-assisted content creation services for small businesses and independent professionals. Services include:

  • SEO-optimized blog posts (word count and quantity per your plan tier)
  • Social media captions (quantity per your plan tier)
  • Monthly content calendar (Growth and Pro tiers)
  • Human quality assurance review of all AI-generated drafts
  • Delivery via Google Drive shared folder

The exact deliverables for each plan tier are described on our Pricing page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. VerbMint reserves the right to adjust deliverable specifications with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

2. Subscription & Payment Terms

VerbMint operates on a monthly subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe on your billing date.
  • All prices are in USD.
  • You authorize VerbMint to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • Failed payments may result in temporary service suspension. We will attempt to recharge within 3 business days.

Auto-Renewal

  • Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 30 days before your next billing date.
  • You will receive an email reminder 7 days before each renewal.

Price Changes

  • We will provide at least 30 days' written notice before changing subscription prices. Continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@verbmint.com with the subject line "Cancel Subscription."
  • Cancellation requires 30 days' notice before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.
  • Cancellations received with less than 30 days' notice will take effect at the end of the following billing cycle.
  • No partial-month refunds are issued. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access and deliverables through the end of your current paid period.
  • Exception: if you are dissatisfied with your very first batch of content and request cancellation within 14 days of your first delivery, we will issue a full refund at our discretion.

4. Delivery SLA

  • Your first content package will be delivered within 5 business days of receiving your completed onboarding brief.
  • Recurring monthly deliveries will be completed within 5 business days of the start of each new billing period.
  • The 5-business-day clock starts only after we receive all required information from you (brief, brand voice guidelines, topic preferences). Delays caused by incomplete briefs are not counted against the SLA.
  • In the event VerbMint fails to meet the 5-business-day SLA without cause, you are entitled to a prorated credit for the delayed days, applied to your next invoice.

5. Revision Policy

Revisions are included based on your subscription tier:

  • Starter plan: 1 round of revisions per content piece.
  • Growth plan: 1 round of revisions per content piece.
  • Pro plan: 2 rounds of revisions per content piece.

A "revision round" means you submit one consolidated set of feedback and we return updated content within 2 business days. Additional revision rounds beyond your tier's allowance may be purchased separately. Revisions are not a rewrite from scratch — they address specific, itemized feedback on the draft delivered.

6. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

Upon full payment for a given month's deliverables:

  • You own the final content. All blog posts and social captions delivered to you are your property. You may publish, modify, repurpose, and monetize them without restriction.
  • VerbMint retains no license to publish or use your delivered content after it is delivered to you.
  • You grant VerbMint a limited, non-exclusive license to use anonymized content samples in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless you opt out by emailing hello@verbmint.com.
  • VerbMint retains ownership of its pipeline, prompts, workflows, and tooling used to produce content.

7. AI Disclosure

VerbMint's content pipeline uses artificial intelligence — specifically Anthropic's Claude API — to generate initial drafts. All AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by human team members before delivery.

  • You acknowledge that VerbMint's service is AI-assisted.
  • You are responsible for reviewing delivered content before publishing and ensuring it meets your accuracy, compliance, and editorial standards.
  • VerbMint does not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from factual errors, and recommends client review before publication.

8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

No SEO guarantees

VerbMint creates SEO-optimized content but makes no guarantees regarding search engine rankings, organic traffic, or business outcomes. Search engine algorithms change frequently and are outside our control.

General limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • VerbMint's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the services shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
  • VerbMint is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or loss of business opportunity.
  • Services are provided "as is." We make no warranties beyond what is expressly stated in these Terms.

9. Client Responsibilities

To receive the full benefit of VerbMint's services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete onboarding information within 3 business days of subscribing.
  • Respond to brief-clarification requests within 3 business days.
  • Not use VerbMint's content for illegal, defamatory, misleading, or spam purposes.
  • Ensure your use of delivered content complies with applicable laws and platform policies.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not use VerbMint's services to produce content that:

  • Is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent.
  • Infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Is designed to deceive consumers or violate FTC guidelines.
  • Constitutes spam or mass unsolicited commercial messaging.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination without refund.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship:

  • You may cancel at any time per Section 3.
  • VerbMint may terminate your subscription immediately for material breach of these Terms, including non-payment or violation of Section 10.
  • Upon termination, VerbMint will deliver any completed content pending delivery. You are not entitled to partial-month deliverables that have not yet been started.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
  • Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by emailing hello@verbmint.com.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
